Ostrov Nazinskaya
09:10
|
|||
Sailing onward to the island of death
Creating a new world with gun barrels pressed against their necks
The ocean hungrily accepts the dead thrown overboard
The lucky few who would not be stripped of their flesh upon the shore
Ostrov Nazinskaya
Frigid grave of the undesired
Starving and frozen, the island draws near
Aching, riddled with disease and ridden with fear
Those who were deemed unworthy and those who voiced dissent
Forced unto the godforsaken rock with naught but their bare hands
Blinded by aching hunger, their blackened flesh so tender
Guards hunt to kill for sport, extort, control, the heaps of corpses
The only way that we can stay alive, the bread is running thin
Tie the girl against the tree, she won't escape so easily
Tear the muscle from her bones and spread her blood upon the stones
Venikov cannot protect her, she is weak, we shall consume her
She was still alive against the tree when he returned
Gruesome executions in cold blood for petty crimes
Some flee into the bitter cold and vanish on rafts and borrowed time
The growing fear, growing near, the skin gangrenous but still we
Tear into the sickening meat, the only way to stay standing
I watch as they rip the teeth from the heads of the dead to be sold for their only
Chance to obtain sustenance without shame
Yet some seem so eager to devour those that they once knew
Soldiers approach the dock in the night
Come to move us on to the next site
Though those of us left cannot stand
Delirious, frostbitten, and emaciated
Those who survived died within their minds
Reliving each senseless kill
Drowned in the blood that was spilled
Those to survive died within their minds
Reliving each senseless kill
Drowned in the blood that was spilled

Tokaimura
06:04
|
|||
Put me down for God's sake
DNA corrupted
Flesh sloughs off from my bones
All that I am erodes
White blood cells shattering
Innards are dissolving
Tokaimura, pain infernal
Hell eternal, Tokaimura
Blood pours thick from my eyes
Gauze burns my being like fire
Irradiated husk
Regeneration lost
Anguished mass of raw flesh
Months pass, I pray for death
Pain beyond comprehension prolonged to uphold corrupted honour
Of those who disregard the oath they took to do no harm
Tokaimura, pain infernal, hell eternal
Tokaimura
Pleas for mercy quietly escape these melted lungs
I am not an animal
Searing, piercing, blistering agony extended by machines
Organs slowly liquify yet my skeletal remains still breathe
Surely the scorching flames of Hell must offer reprieve from this pain
Let me blissfully die in vain

Hinterkaifeck
05:04
|
|||
Footsteps echo in the night
Tracks in the snow trailing from the trees
Leading to the broken door
Yet not leading back
Feeble attic floorboards creaking
Struck down by the very blade that their father forged
Lured into the straw to bleed
Skulls caved in and throats slit
Washed the blood of children from his hands
And took his leave, forever to remain free
Strangled, bludgeoned, cleaved
Through the snow the axeman flees
Through the snow the axeman leaves
Hinterkaifeck
Bloodstained homestead
Family left dead
Never avenged
Little Cäzilia rips her hair from her scalp in tufts
The bodies of her mother, and grandfather, and grandmother
Lying dead and mangled in the straw
Drifting away, but the screams tear her awake
The butcher retreats, having escaped yet written himself into time's pages
Hinterkaifeck
Bloodstained homestead
Family left dead
Never avenged

Forty-five thousand in the shadow of Ograzhden
Xiphias rides towards the unsuspecting men
Deep in the valley, the guardsmen are surrounded now
The wall crashes down, soon so shall Samuel's crown
"Charge!" calls the emperor, his warriors rushing forth
In his son's arms, the Tsar flees the bloodstained shore
Take from them sight, and with it victory
Screams in the night tear on through history
All fear the name, Bulgaroktonos
Send forth blind legions of Kleidion
Fourteen thousand men, and some say still hundreds more
In the hands of Basil, their eyes are torn out from their skulls
Ill-fated few are chosen as cyclopes to lead
The blind home from their crippling defeat
At the sight of his sightless men
The Tsar falls to his knees, his heart gives in
Cruel works of the dreaded Byzantines
Once-great legions marching silently
Warriors trapped in darkness, never granted the coveted fate of death in battle
Armies once led by great generals now led by those who still can see
The blind leading the blind lead the blind through their own burned empire
And though they did return, they never did see home again
Never to see the glint of steel shining in the sun again
"Take from them sight, and with it victory"

Eclipsing Ganymede
05:36
|
|||
Lurk does the light beyond the shroud, beneath the veil
The depths from which a vengeful god will draw the flood waters
The cold, fathomless deep sighs, indifferent
Dance does the sea that only I have ever known
Though the corner of my eye has sometimes seen the darkness breathe
To dwell on what may be is to court with madness
Floating through eternal night
The sky begins to crack
My quest for the stars now ending
My lifelong voyage complete
The ice fractures silently
The open void greets me with open arms
Stars so bright
I cannot feel
Vision fades
I die cold yet free
Escaping Ganymede
I've seen the other side and now I'm free
Shattering the eclipse on Ganymede
Beheld the source of light hidden from me
Beneath the surface of Ganymede
Saw the other side and now I'm free
From the black waters of Ganymede

Ninth Mansa
04:48
|
|||
For centuries we've spoke of things beyond the great blue death
Of far-off lands and unknown beasts and the world's edge
I renounce the throne to face the great voyage beyond
Three thousand ships sail forth, their men prepared for all
We may find naught but our graves, but our tales shall live on
The sea may swallow us whole, the storms may send us below
The void beyond the Earth may carry us eternally
The beasts may feast upon our flesh, we may be driven from the lands
Yet Abu Bakr sails on
The grounds below the waters may inter our bones forever
Yet we sail on
Hideous storms flood the decks
Towering waves crashing down
Broken bones, drowning lungs
Sight of land in the distance
Sultan of the seas
Swept away in freezing depths
Crushed beneath abyssal pressure
Gold spills from the hull, blood spills from his mouth
Closing his eyes beneath the ocean, the Mansa smiles
His journey complete
Hideous storms from the depths
Towering waves crashing down
Broken bones, drowning lungs
Sight of land in the distance
Journey with me now, friends, and you shall see everything
Whether they be unknown heights or untold depths below
Only the fates can stop our quest for another world
And should we fail, we shall still have won
On the ocean floor, Abu Bakr sails on

Corium Invocation
07:10
|
|||
It crawls forth from the reactor core
All reality twists and distorts
Gene-warped malignance now in the sun
They must never know what we have done
Those who chose to stay on land will come to understand its weakness
All shall be dragged to the deep, and they shall bear the hybrid offspring
It can never die (it shall always be)
Gliding through the night (from its realm unleashed)
It shall never die (it will always be)
Invocation of the nuclear monstrosity
Eldritch radiation fills the air as matter itself mutates
Into unrecognizable forms
Cosmic terror of another dimension brought unto man by his own experimentation
In his endless quest to play God
Corium deity shapes the earth in its own unnatural, impossible image
Tears the minds of mortals who behold its domain
Those left shall worship the Key and the Gate with all its progeny
Yog-Sothoth, reborn through man's mistakes

Outsider's Tale
06:00
|
|||
Crumbling castle ruins, everlasting home
Subterranean prison, unabating sorrow
Tomes long forgotten, teachings of their world
Knowledge tempts my spirit beyond
Decayed stairs collapse beneath my steps
Pillars of fathomless heights ascend
Should escape not deliver me to freedom
I smile knowing death shall instead
As though the gates of Heaven themselves had opened
A trapdoor appeared within the sky
Leading me to fabled lands spoken of in writings,
Or leading me to my demise?
My soul is eager, as is the grave
In the arms of Death I show no fear, yet I pray there is more here
Than this cave
Than these walls
Through the door I slowly crawl
I walk upon the grass of a great meadow, sunlight shining down upon the trees
Voices drift from a church house, the first life I shall greet
Screaming, ripping, tearing, fleeing, shredded throats and broken glass
Gouging out their own eyes, what horrid sight befalls my fellow man?
My soul is gripped with fear as I meet the gaze of a twisted spectre
Face to face with an unspeakable being
In terror I strike the wretch and am met with the cold sensation of glass
My heart sinks, never to return
Now I ride upon dark winds
Alongside the ghouls in the night
